Catch me if you can

"I'm bored," Fillyz stated on their way back to the cruiser. Castox sighed. "Thanks for the warning, I will look out for a place to hide in case your boredom becomes infectious – Ouch!" He rubbed his arm where the vengeful hand of Fillyz had hit him. Letting her gaze wander over the grassy plain she had an idea how to get rid of her boredom. "The last one at the cruiser has to clean the Hive's common room for a whole week," she shouted, then she started to run. Never being able to resist a running prey he chased after her.

She was perfectly aware that he would be tempted to rather catch her instead of merely winning the race so she was running fast enough to stay ahead, but only just.

He was perfectly aware that she was playing games, teasing him with something different than a cleaned up common room and he could run faster than her, yet he was running just fast enough to nearly touch her, but only just.



Before colouring this I browsed dA for tutorials and found some interesting approaches so I experimented a bit. The clouds in the background are a photograph, since I've taken the photo myself I don't count it as cheating to include it in a painting. This picture was a spontaneous idea I had while freezing in the winter cold. Snow was falling outside my window and I yearned for the warmth of a summer evening.
