This is the dragon Rana. Her full name is Rana Opal Lightwing of the clan Winddancer. She is kind of my alter ego and I've been inventing stories around her for years. Her features and abilities have changed much over the years so this my latest version of her. It's the first time ever I show her to someone other than my family.

This is part of her story in a short summary: She is born as a human and finds out she can change into a dragon which can be quite handy in times. At first her scales are a chalky dull white which is the mark of all human-born dragons. Some "true dragons" (as they like to call themselves) have reservations and prejudices against those they call condescending "chalkscales". When she finally unleashes her true dragon nature her scales become a glamorous mother-of-pearl shine and she's recognized as a full dragon at last.
